Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy explains what data Nonnio uses, why, who it is shared with, and what your rights are. We run no ads, no advertising tracking, and we never sell your data.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Léa Jargeau (Sole proprietor (French micro-business), SIRET 904 471 869 00027, France).
For any question: contact@nonnio.com.
2. The data we process
We only collect what is needed to run the app:
- Your account: email address (or Apple ID identifier if you use “Sign in with Apple”) and your first name.
- Your profile: diet, allergens to avoid, foods you like or dislike, household size, number of meals, kitchen equipment, cooking day, the price and time estimates you enter.
- Your usage: generated menus, favorite recipes, prepared batches, fridge contents, history, dish ratings, badges.
- Your subscription: subscription and free-trial status. We never see your payment method: payment is handled by Apple.
- Technical data: device model, app and system version, error logs, notification token if you turn notifications on.
3. Why we use it
To build your menu, shopping list and tips (providing the service); to sync your account across devices; to manage your subscription; to send the notifications you agreed to (your consent); to keep the service secure and fix bugs (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share data with
We use technical service providers, only to run the app. These are the categories of recipients (we can give you their names on request):
- Apple: App Store, subscriptions and purchases, “Sign in with Apple”, push notifications (Apple Push Notification service).
- RevenueCat, Inc. (United States): manages premium access (receives a user identifier and the subscription status).
- Supabase: hosts the database and authentication, and stores your account and data (servers in the European Union, in Frankfurt).
- Expo (Expo Application Services, United States): delivers app updates.
- Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts nonnio.com.
5. Website data
When you visit nonnio.com, our host Vercel records technical logs (IP address, date, pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. The site uses no advertising cookies and no analytics tools. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to handle your request, then to document the exchange if necessary.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers are located in the United States. Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the applicable data protection framework).
7. Notifications
We ask for your permission after you sign up. They remind you of your cooking day, alert you when a timer ends and tell you about news. You can turn them off anytime in your iPhone settings.
8. Retention
We keep your data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is erased, except what we must keep for legal obligations (accounting, for example).
9. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, portability, or object to a processing. Where processing is based on your consent (for example notifications), you can withdraw it at any time. We reply to your request within one month at most. You can delete your account and data directly in the app (Profile, Settings) or by writing to us. If you live in the European Union or France, you can also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
If you live in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what data we collect and to have it deleted or corrected. We do not sell or share your data for targeted advertising. Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado or Texas) have similar rights. To exercise them, email us: we may need to verify your identity and we reply within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. Security
Communications are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is protected by your account and strict server-side access rules. No system is flawless: if an incident occurs, we will inform you as the law requires.
11. Children
Nonnio is not intended for children under 15 (13 in the United States), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Food and health
Food information in the app (recipes, allergens, storage times) is provided for guidance and does not replace medical or dietary advice. Your allergen answers are used only to filter recipes.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The last update date is shown at the top of the page; for important changes, we will tell you in the app.
