I’m jumping on the Top Ten bandwagon again. It is not only interesting but also educational to look back over the past year and evaluate what I’ve written and how you have responded.
After a deep dive into Google Analytics and all the pesky tracking stuff required when you are a blogger I located The Top Ten posts of 2018 – based on how many of you visited each. One little caveat, a couple of the posts made it onto the list because I was lucky enough to be featured thru HomeTalk. Quite a nice little bump. 🙂 The rest of them are just thanks to Y’all. So thanks!
Here goes – The Top Ten Posts of 2018
#10: A Boy’s First Love is His Mama
Written by Favorite First Born, this is a Mama’s dream. If your Warriors are small and driving you crazy, I suggest you read this one and remember: Galatians 6:9 “Do not grow weary in doing good. For at the proper time you will reap the harvest if you do not give up.”
#9: An Open Letter to Those Living With Depression
My heart. Sometimes things are just not OK and it’s important to admit that. Face that. Learn how to live with that.
#8: DIY Te Fiti Crown
This was one of my favorite projects of the year. Little crowns for Favorite Pixie to dress up like not only Moana but Te Fiti. Bonus picture of Cooper modeling the finished project. Sometimes you have to call in an extra to model your creations when the little one is too far away!
#7: You Deserve to be Cherished
Inspired by real-life conversations with young women in my life this is a reminder of your worth as a woman. Encouragement to hold out for one who will cherish you always.
#6: 7 Things to Pray for Adult Children
As the Warriors have grown, their lives, their livelihoods, their desires, and their needs are changing. In this post, I share a few ideas for how to pray for your children and the grow and go.
#5: 5 Takeaway Quotes from A Prayer for Owen Meany
After this posted, a few images from it were shared on other sites. The result is this book review making it into the top 5! You just never know, right? 🙂
#4: Old Dresser to Entertainment Console
Here is one that was featured on HomeTalk. It’s a simple DIY project transforming a plain old dresser into a bright and functional media center. I Still love it! And it looks great in Favorite Thirds living room!
#3: DIY Corrugated Metal Shower
One of my all-time favorite projects from The Funny Little House. How to create a simple corrugated metal shower. Big Jon did a beautiful job on this one, and it’s definitely a highlight in the house.
#2: The Great Lakes Dresser
Another shout out to HomeTalk for featuring this dresser. Favorite Third just loves this giant dresser with a beautiful map of the Great Lakes on the front. It’s a project that is far more simple than you think.
And now for the moment of truth. I have to say, this one is so surprising! When I did this project and wrote this post, I had no idea that over 20,000 of you would enjoy the tutorial! Amazing! Thank you so much.
#1: How to Make a Spinning Lantern | The Greatest Showman
This says it all…
And that’s it! Stay tuned for my favorite posts from 2018 – they should give you some insight into my heart and some encouragement for yours.
